SG runs its own operation under the discipline it sells — gates that reject its own releases, critics hired against its own website, drills run before any client is exposed. A client engagement gets the same bar, because it is the same bar.
Gates that say no
Every website release passes a chain of more than twenty automated checks — plain-language rules, brand tokens, accessibility, performance budgets, reader-journey contracts, and live production probes. When a check fails, the release stops. The gates have rejected SG's own work repeatedly, and each rejection is kept in the record below.
Adversarial review, commissioned on itself
SG commissions critics against its own work: AI reviewer personas — a design critic, a first-time reader, a skeptical buyer — given no knowledge of how the site was built and instructed that a review with zero findings is a failed review. Stated plainly: the critics are AI, and this page said "independent" until an audit called that inflated. The findings were real either way — logged, fixed, and encoded into the gates so they cannot return.
Fire drills before clients
The engagement path is rehearsed adversarially before real money touches it: walk the client's first day end to end, assume nothing works until an artifact proves it does, and rank every gap by how badly it would show in front of a paying client.
A versioned record of everything
Every change to this website is committed with its reasoning. Every deploy is logged with what passed and what failed. If a claim appears on a page, the record shows when it arrived and what it survived to get there.

Two gradient colors were written as raw hex instead of named brand tokens. The deploy stopped; the tokens were formalized before anything shipped.

A homepage redesign removed phrases the conversion-journey audit enforces. The contract was consciously updated to the new design — the audit forces every redesign to be deliberate, not accidental.

The Azure routing config exists in two copies that must match exactly. One was updated without the other; the backend audit refused the release until they were identical.

A design critic, a first-time reader, and a skeptical buyer — AI reviewer personas working cold — reviewed the live site. Eleven findings came back. Every mechanically actionable one was fixed and encoded into the gates the same day.

The copy gate flagged first-person phrasing inside a code comment — the gates read everything, including the parts no visitor sees. Reworded before the release moved.

A wording unification gave two different links the same accessible name — a screen-reader ambiguity. The link audit caught it on ten pages and blocked the release until each link named its own destination.

An adversarial walkthrough of a new engagement, from the signed yes to closeout, checking every promised moment against the artifact that would carry it. Verdict: would scramble. The mechanical gaps were closed the same day; the rest went on the owner's decision list.

An examiner instructed to verify every claim graded the sprint B+ and found this page implying external review it could not evidence, plus two undocumented rejections. Corrected the same day — this entry is the correction.
